FINANCE OFFICER

 

The Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), the local Chapter of Transparency International (TI) is seeking a suitably qualified person for appointment to the position of Finance Officer.

 

GII is a non-governmental organization devoted to combating corruption and engaged in advocacy and research for public accountability and ethics.

 

The Finance Officer shall report to the Finance and Administration Manager and his/her duties will include

·         preparation of vouchers and data recording of the financial transactions through the general ledger

·         ensuring the integrity of financial information

·         preparation of bank reconciliation statements

·         maintenance of cash forecasts & budgets

·         regular and prompt delivery of quarterly and annual financial reports

·         preparation of management accounts

·         grants administration and reporting to donors

 

THE PERSON

The qualified applicant must:

 

(a)   Possess a degree in accounting with two years relevant experience OR HND  in accounting with three years relevant experience

(b)   Possess excellent interpersonal skills

(c)    Have knowledge of computerized accounting

APPOINTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

The Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), the local Chapter of Transparency International (TI), is seeking a suitably qualified person for appointment to the position of Finance and Administration Manager.

 

GII is a non-governmental organisation devoted to combating corruption and engaged in advocacy and research for public accountability and ethics.

 

THE POSITION

The Finance and Administration Manager is the head of the Finance and Administration department and shall be responsible, under the Executive Secretary, for the management of the Finances, Accounting and the Human Resource of GII.

THE PERSON

The qualified applicant must:

(a)          Be a distinguished professional with capacity to motivate and direct staff.

(b)         Be above reproach and exhibit a high sense of integrity, industry, leadership qualities and organisational skills.

(c)          Possess excellent interpersonal skills.

(d)         Possess a degree in accounting or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of five years relevant working experience. A professional qualification and a knowledge in project proposal writing and fund sourcing will be an added advantage.

(e)          Be able to prepare financial statements and management reports and deal with the management of donor relations and financial representations at partner meetings.

(f)          Be computer literate and capable of using accounting software for the maintenance of GII’s accounts

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

The appointment shall be full time and remunerations and other conditions of service shall be in line with current GII Conditions of Service for Employees.
