Using Beneficial Ownership Disclosure to Fight Corruption

Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII), the local chapter of Transparency International (TI) in partnership with EITI International’s Open Extractives Programme will hold a conference dubbed “How can Beneficial Ownership Transparency contribute to addressing the integrity challenges in the extractive sector in Ghana?” The Open Extractives Programme is driving the global shift toward transparency over who owns and controls companies with funding support.

The programme is a two-day activity however, the second day is planned for national accountability institutions. The theme for this programme is:

Date:               14th -15th December 2017

Venue: Fiesta Royale Hotel, Dzorwulu & Sunlodge Hotel Tesano, Accra.

The conference is in commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day which fell on the 9th of December 2022.

The workshop seeks to empower state institutions such as the Internal Audit Agency, Registrar of Companies and all the accountability institutions on how to use the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure information to fight corruption and undertake due diligence.
