EFFIBA KOJUAH AMIHERE
Effiba Kojua Amihere is a seasoned legal practitioner called to the Ghana Bar in 1998. She is the Managing Partner of Effiba Amihere & Associates (formerly Sozo Law Consult), former Director, Legal of the National Labour Commission, and Executive Director of the African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA).
A graduate of the University of Cape Coast (1989), Effiba began her career as an English and Literature teacher before pursuing law at the Ghana School of Law. Her legal practice spans over two decades in business, construction, employment, and human rights law. She has represented clients across public and private sectors, advised on contracts, compliance, and arbitration, and served as Company Secretary to several firms.
As Director at the National Labour Commission, she provided legal and policy guidance on employment, labour, and collective bargaining matters. Through AWLA, she continues to advocate for women’s and children’s rights and legal reforms.
Effiba also served on the Rules of Court Committee (2005–2017), contributing to the formulation of rules for Ghana’s courts. She currently serves as Church Administrator at Powerhouse Ministries International.
